VOCABULARY DESIGNATING THE ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA IN THE TURKIС MYTHOLOGY

Abstract
The article focuses on the vocabulary designating the atmospheric phenomena in the Turkiс mythology. As the concept is the part of national cultural consciousness, the material for studying concepts is presented in folk sources which are the sources of knowledge and value of a nation, and its cultural treasury. The mythology of ancient Turks is known only by fragments from VI–X centuries. In the article such concepts as “wind”, “rain”, “cloud”, “lighting”, “rainbow”, etc. and their usage in Turkish mythology are considered.
