Abstract

This article continues the dealing with the problems of functioning of the somatic lexis as one of the lexical-semantic groups of Arabic language in the etymological, word-building and semantic aspects. The peculiarities of the functioning of the somatic lexis in the Arabic language were examined, its structural-semantic and etymological analysis was carried on and its potential in formation of the from-somatic derivates of different levels was established. The motifs of from-somatic nomination based on the given lexical-semantic group in Arabic, Hebrew, English and Ukrainian were analyzed.
