Abstract

This article discusses the loanwords in the official style of the Japanese language, as well as the reasons for which the number of borrowed words in the Japanese language continues to grow rapidly.

The purpose of the study is to examine trends in the emergence of neologisms and to find ways to facilitate the translation of such words. This article is the beginning of the study on loanwords in the Japanese language. The study will be useful for the training of future specialists ‑ translators and interpreters from Japanese.

The main idea of the article is that Japan, as a fast-growing country, is prone to a lot of linguistic borrowings due to the cooperation with a large number of countries. Being a very specific type of words, loans sometimes can’t be translated correctly even by native speakers. That is why it is extremely important to define the methods and ways to provide reliable quality in translating neologisms and loans, especially in Japanese business speaking.
