Анотація
Стаття розглядає процес та особливості входження гімалайських князівств Західного Непалу до складу єдиного непальського королівства наприкінці XVIII – початку XIX ст. на прикладі князівства Мустанг (Ло). На основі документів аналізується соціально-політичне становище в князівстві, а також система відносин між королем Непалу і князем Мустангу, що була встановлена у 1788–1790 рр. Проводяться також паралелі з деякими іншими васальними державами регіону. Стаття описує соціально-політичну систему залежних від князя Мустангу державних утворень (“князівств-данників”). Особлива увага приділяється соціокультурному аспекту розвитку князівства Мустанг в означений період.
