Abstract
The article is dedicated to the traditional cult of the royal patron goddess Taleju and the role of that cult in the ritual side of the Nepalese state ideology (XIV–XVIII centuries). The sacral-political as well as sacral-geographical and territorial aspects of Taleju cult in Nepal are being discussed. The royal ritual and its importance in the traditions of Nepal are also being investigated. The sacral-political and ritual-political tradition of Nepal is being compared with the close ideology in the state of Negara (Bali) and other mandala states of the South-East Asia.
