VERB SYNTAX IN JEWISH LITURGICAL POETRY IN ARAMAIC. BASED ON TARGUMIM POETRY MATERIAL

Abstract
This article is concerned with analysis of the syntactic functions of the verb in the pre-classical (IV–VI cent.) and classical (VI–VIII cent.) Jewish liturgical poetry in Aramaic. In the pre-classical poetry the use of the verb is less normed than in the classical poetry because of the influence of colloquial Aramaic language. An unresolved question is the large use of the participle which embraces all the functions of qtl and yqtl-verbs – is this specificity inherent in poetry only or in the Middle Aramaic language in general?
