SOME SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE SYNTAX OF THE JEWISH LITURGICAL POETRY IN ARAMAIC OF IV–VIII CENTURIES

Abstract
This article is concerned with some syntactic aspects of linguopoetics of the Jewish liturgical poetry written in Aramaic in the pre-classical (IV–VI c.) and classical (VI–VIII c.) periods: a) emphatic constructions; b) syntactic anomalies which were caused by some specificities of the versification; c) syntactic macrostructures in the meditative poetical discourse. This research embraces thirty poems which were dedicated to the Peshaḥ and Šavu’oth festivals and added to the text of Aramaic translation of the Pentateuch in the Cairo Genizah Targum and Fragmentary Targum. The main conclusions of this research concern a role of syntax in the versification, as well as correlation between specificity of poetical discourse and syntax.
