Анотація

Стаття присвячена проблемі ізоляціонізму в Непалі у XVIII–XIX ст. у контексті культурного та ідеологічного спадку “Дібія Упадеш” – автобіографії короля Прітхві Нараяна Шаха (1769–1775). Особливу увагу приділено політиці балансування, яка тісно пов’язана з непальським ізоляціонізмом і була основою як внутрішньої, так і зовнішньополітичної стратегії королівства протягом тривалого часу. Відзначається також соціально-економічний аспект політики балансування та ізоляціонізму в Непалі.
